Instant Cash for Junk Cars buys junk, wrecked and scrap cars in Chicago and picks them up from wherever they're parked. Towing is free, you're paid at pickup, and a same-day pickup is often possible.

What we do

We buy vehicles their owners want gone, in any condition: cars, trucks, vans and SUVs that stopped running, were in a crash, burned, flooded, rusted past saving or failed an Illinois emissions test. One visit can take several. You send the car's details, we call within 15 minutes with an offer and a pickup time, and a driver comes to the car. You don't bring it anywhere.

A missing title doesn't end the conversation. Tell us which papers you have (a bill of sale, the registration, an insurance card), and on the call we'll confirm which of them Illinois rules accept for a scrap sale.

Our pickup area

This site focuses on Chicago's West Side, with pickup notes for Austin, Humboldt Park, Garfield Park, North Lawndale, Belmont Cragin and Hermosa. We also pick up across the rest of Chicago, in the Chicagoland suburbs including Joliet and Aurora, and in Northwest Indiana as far as Gary.

We're a service-area business: we come to you, so there's no lot or office to visit.

We try to make the pickup day predictable. That's why this site is laid out as a timetable: every stop from the form to the tow, in order, with what to have ready at each one. The short version:

• We give you an offer and a pickup time on the call, not a vague window.
• If the car matches what you told us, the offer on the phone is the offer at the curb.
• You're paid at pickup, and the title is signed after that.
• An offer has no expiry date.
• The offer isn't reduced to cover the tow.
